Caliza 2018 Mourvèdre (Paso Robles Willow Creek District)

Browned better, a hint of leather and rich loamy soil aromas make for a plump nose on this bottling, which employed an 80% whole cluster fermentation. It lands softly on the palate, where pillowy tannins float dark-berry and purple-flower flavors. Matt Kettmann
