Campillo 1998 Pago Cuesta Clara Raro Reserva (Rioja)

A special bottling from a vineyard planted in 1969 to the Tempranillo Peludo clone. The resulting wine is exceptionally ripe and extracted, with masses of soft tannins. Subtle coffee, toast and vanilla notes frame black cherry and plum fruit. Should age well and is bottled in mags and double-mags to help it keep. A statement wine for sure.
