Campo Alegre 2012 Toro

Direct, pointed black cherry, cassis and black plum aromas are ripe as can be, as is the palate, which feels a bit bumpy and tannic but not heavy or out of balance. Rich, chocolaty blackberry and peppery flavors finish with moderately rough tannins, but everything else is easy. Drink through 2020. Michael Schachner
