Enticing scents of scorched earth, cassis, new leather, vanilla, truffle and Mediterranean brush abound on this classy red. The full-bodied youthfully austere palate is still tightly wound but already shows mature black cherry, raspberry preserve, licorice and grilled herb set against a backbone of firm fine-grained tannins. Give it time to fully develop. Drink 2022–2030.
