While the nose on this barrel-fermented Verdejo is resiny, the oak is of high quality and does a good job accenting minerally apple notes. Lively acidity keeps this fresh, although it's a bit wanting in the midpalate. Flavors of raw oak, vanilla and citrus fruits finish short but with clarity.
