Montsant's inherent character is nicely captured in this blend of Carignan, Syrah and Grenache. The bouquet is entirely smooth and inviting, if a bit generic. And the palate delivers ripe berry flavors that don't vary much from the fruity and basic. Call it simple or call it just right for the price; this is a fine red wine with character, balance and ease.
