Canoe Ridge 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

Soft fruit flavors suggestive of plum and cranberry. The tannins are thick and chocolaty, with streaks of espresso and smoke. Right now most of the flavor seems to come from barrels rather than grapes. Paul Gregutt
