Canoe Ridge's varietal Cabernet Franc has some good punch to the nose, then comes into a fairly soft mid-palate. Fruit flavors revolve around raspberry and cassis, and are streaked with hints of coffee grounds. But in the end it seems a bit generic, with stiff, earthy tannins wrapping things up.
