Canoe Ridge 2010 Block 1 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

All coming from a single block of the winery's estate vineyard, this is a 100% varietal, aged in half new French oak. It's drinking young with reticent notes of olive, coffee, boysenberry and cherry. The acids are quite tart—taking days to settle down—buffeted by firm, gritty tannins. Sean P. Sullivan
