Cantina Zaccagnini 2017 Dal Tralcetto (Montepulciano d'Abruzzo)

Aromas of brandy-soaked plums and cherries meld with a heavy dose of vanilla, dill and sandalwood on the nose. The palate is thick in feel, built up by a host of oaky flavors. There is freshness from tangy acidity behind all that density, but ultimately the oak wins out on the finish. Alexander Peartree
