Red Mountain is often known for its sheer power, but it can bring grace, too. Here we have both. Syrah (54%) takes the lead, followed by Grenache (39%) and Mourvèdre. Dark plum, black raspberry and spice aromas lead to full-bodied fruit flavors that coat the palate from end to end. A lengthy finish follows. It's all about hedonism, but with plenty of sophistication, too. Sean P. Sullivan
