Carabella 2018 Mistake Block Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

All Pommard (the original “mistake” planting for which it's named), this is very tart, tight and astringent. Raspberry and citrus are the dominant fruit flavors, and the drying tannins leave an impression of orange pekoe tea. It was aged in 40% new French oak. Paul Gregutt
