Darker-hued and tannic from extra skin contact. A creamy mouthfeel from partial malolactic fermentation. Along with bright red cherries, there's an earthy/savory note on the nose that resembles fried chicken and mushrooms. Nectarine and cedar flavors are joined by a touch of smoky Lapsang Souchong tea. Decanting is recommended. Michael Alberty
