Carlos Serres 2005 Gran Reserva (Rioja)

Editors' Choice

This floral, somewhat light-bodied wine is a traditional blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo. It's elegant in its delivery of cherry and raspberry aromas, and the palate is crisp and pure, with pulse. Cherry, cassis, vanilla and molasses flavors finish long and smooth. What a great upper-end value; drink now through 2018. Michael Schachner
