Carol Shelton 2016 Wild Thing Damiano Vineyard Viognier (Placer County)

Ripe tropical fruit in the aroma, fresh clean flavors and a rich texture buoyed by good acidity make this medium-bodied wine easy to like. Barrel-fermented in mostly neutral oak, it's smooth and fairly broad on the palate, and stays nice and dry and firm on the finish. Jim Gordon
