Carucci 2013 Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Viognier (Sta. Rita Hills)

There's a vague honey character on the nose of this wine from the historic vineyard, followed by a fresh lemon, lime-chiffon and white-flower character. The palate is clean and crisp with minerally flavors, offering Gala apple skins and tangy lime juice, but right down the middle and never overdone. Matt Kettmann
