Hard and roasted on the nose, with molasses, leather and other less-than-fruity aromas. It's narrow and clampy in the mouth, with herbal, distant flavors of peppery red fruits. Shows some roughness and tannic bite on the finish, and also a bit of stemminess. Good but for the price and vintage it has some weaknesses.
