Casa Piena 2009 Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

Soft and rich in texture, this has flavors that are as intricately wound as a tapestry: blackberries and cassis to green olive tapenade, cedar and a slight, but appealing, funkiness, suggestive of worn leather. Drinking beautifully now, it should evolve in the bottle over the next 5–6 years.
