Casa Primicia 2014 Carravalseca Reserva (Rioja)

Cellar Selection

Ripe, stocky berry aromas come with grainy oak notes that try to take over the nose. A firm, clampy palate is tannic and pulling, while this tastes of cassis and raw oak stemming from 20 months in barrel. On the finish, a woody character dominates, although bold latent fruit has its say. Drink through 2026. Michael Schachner
