Casa Rivas 2001 Reserva - Estate Bottled Cabernet Sauvignon (Maipo Valley)

Dark and grapey, with some strange candied aromas akin to bubble gum. Given time to air, it comes around to offer black plum flavors, but also a hint of green bean. The finish has a nice feel to it and some coffee-like flavor. Ample tannins leave a lasting impression. Michael Schachner
