83pointsCastalia 2004 Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley)

A difficult wine made problematic by the vintage. The cherry fruit tastes overtly sweet, and I suspect there's some residual sugar, the tradeoff for keeping alcohol moderate. Most unfortunate, because everything else works.
