Castillo de Cuzcurrita 2001 Cerrado del Castillo (Rioja)

All in all this is a perfectly good wine. But in this pricey class and category we get picky, and we're finding some reduced, raisiny aromas and a slightly flat, edgeless mouthfeel. However, we do like the wine's berry and plum core and its intensity; too bad it's not more evenly balanced. Michael Schachner
