Castillo de Monjardin 2017 Clásico Tempranillo (Navarra)

Rubbery, reduced aromas of road tar, cardamom and black fruits are about as far from elegant as things get. A bulky, tannic palate matches this Tempranillo's black color, while soupy flavors of black plum, oak resin and bitterness culminate on a finish that tastes burnt and feels scratchy.
