This is 100% Merlot, smooth and high toned, showing ripe cherry, chocolate and tobacco flavors. There are definite nail-polish scents and flavors, but they burn off a bit. Pretty and sweet, it's fairly high in tannin, which gives it a somewhat chewy finish. —P.G.
