Caterina 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

Clearly varietal from the first whiff, this elegant Cabernet Sauvignon sets out a smorgasbord of flavors: plum, cassis, smoke, loam, a hint of the barnyard. It's nicely balanced, with polished but astringent tannins that carry the flavors into a lingering finish. Paul Gregutt
