Exceedingly dark, with chewy herbal tannins and high-toned somewhat volatile aromas, this is a wine that has not knit together. Black cherry, kirsch, fig and balsamic elements are scattered about, but nothing holds the center. Best to drink up soon. Paul Gregutt
