Earthen whiffs of sunbaked clay and buckwheat mingle into plump, juicy black cherry and fig in this sultry blend of Grenache (70%), Syrah (20%) and Mourvèdre (10%). It's a richer, slightly spicier expression of Rasteau than this producer's standard bottling. A luscious sip that finishes long on fine-grained, penetrating tannins. Ready now but should hold through 2028. Anna Lee C. Iijima
