Cave de Tain 2003 Gambert de Loche (Hermitage)

Lacks the haunting fragrance of the best Hermitage wines, but shows plenty of concentrated dark fruit and toasty oak. Supple and vanilla-laden at first, it firms up and shows more plum fruit and pepper on the finish. Joe Czerwinski
