The nose has a smashed red berry theme to it, and that carries onto the palate, where it's all about red cherry, cranberry and rhubarb. If that sounds tart, it is. But it's not a sourball. Still, the overriding theme is one of acidity and lean, dry red fruit. Michael Schachner
