Cederberg 2018 Cape Winemakers Guild Teen Die Hoog Shiraz (Cederberg)

Winemaker: David Nieuwoudt. There's a pronounced spiciness on the nose of this dark, brooding wine, with plenty of black fruit tones to support at the core, expressed in waves of black plum, cherry and slightly mentholated blackberry. The palate is plush and filling, with spicy, well-structured tannins that lend good grip through the juicy and structured finish, along with oodles of black fruit flavors that linger long on the close. This has a lot of life left ahead of it; drink after 2024. Lauren Buzzeo
