Chabot Armagnac Vintage 1956

Lovely brilliant rust/burnt orange/iron ore hue. The opening nosings pick up lush scents of old saddle leather, soft oaky spice and sap; following aeration subtle scents of beeswax and carnauba are added. Palate entry is savory, semisweet and maple-like; at midpalate the sweet oak returns to dominate. Ends succulently sweet and intensely oaky. P.P.
