Chaddsford 2001 Merican Red (Pennsylvania)

Shows its age with its dearth of extract and rusting at the rim. This Bordeaux-style blend has some brett qualities that this reviewer found added character. The wine has an almost creamy feel and moderate tannins, with cassis and blueberry, touched with wet tobacco in the mouth. Finishes with a metallic note.
