Starts out dense, with aromas of fruit cake, prune and hard cheese, but time allows it to show its sweet side, where currant, blackberry and sautéed mushroom carry the palate to a forward, likable finish. Made in a fresh but sizable style; it's not syrupy yet it packs power.
