Chalk Hill 2003 Sauvignon Blanc (Chalk Hill)

On the heavy side, with full aromas of toast, baked fruit and spice. Stylistically, this falls into the category of barrel influenced; there's vanilla, licorice and resin accents to the spicy apple and melon fruit flavors. Finishes quite dry and spicy, and here the oak notes take over a bit more than they should.
