The blend includes 3% Cab Franc; which added some aromatics. Normally Chandler Reach wines are pure varietals; in this instance the Franc rounded out the midpalate and ramped up the scents. There's a firm streak of mineral, iron and anise. With cheese and smoked meats, sweetness emerges.
