Chapel Hill 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (McLaren Vale)

Chapel Hill consistently produces solid, throw-back wines of restraint and balance. This vintage of Cab leads with muted brambly fruit, dusty oak spice, cocoa powder and soft vanilla and baking-spice notes. There's plenty of toasty savory oaky spice on the palate, along with discreet fruit and slightly coarse tannins. Drink now until around 2025. Christina Pickard
