Chard Farm 2006 Pinot Noir (Central Otago)

The cherry aromas of this wine are so sweet, so obvious, that they come across as almost candied; thankfully, they're balanced by subtle spice and leather shadings that make it clear that this is wine, not fruit juice. Silky tannins bolster that impression, nicely buffering and extending the finish. Joe Czerwinski
