Charles Krug 1998 Peter Mondavi Family Pinot Noir (Napa Valley)

Opens with aromas of red cherry, honey, tobacco, mushroom, vanilla and spice, and turns very dry in the mouth, with soft tannins framing fairly ripe cherry and raspberry fruit. There's a sappy, nectary quality to the finish that carries these ripe berry flavors forward.
