Charlotte Dalton 2022 What a Ride Red Red (Langhorne Creek)

A blend of Shiraz, Carignan and Graciano from the warm Langhorne Creek region, this sits at a moderate 13% alcohol. It bursts with a multiple of spices, a turn of the pepper grinder, cherry preserves, dried violets and licorice. It's powerful, lucid and youthful, with an open-knit palate. Inevitably rich, but with personality and an easygoing, hands-off appeal. Christina Pickard
