88pointsChâteau Beaumont les Pierrières 2012 Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

This ripe wine is firm, with a core of dry tannins. Over this are delicious, juicy red-berry fruit flavors and acidity. The wine is still softening out, with fruit coming forward. It will be ready to drink from 2017. The property has been in the family for six generations; Robert Filliatreau is the current owner. Wine is vinified by Châteaux Solidaires co-operative. Roger Voss
