Château Boucarut 2017 Cuvée Ulysse Red (Lirac)

Ripe, fleshy blueberry and blackberry flavors are shaded by dried thyme and menthol notes in this forward, unoaked blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. It's a plummy, opulent wine balanced by brisk acidity and fine, gripping tannins. Ready now but should hold through 2025. Anna Lee C. Iijima
