As is the way in Pomerol, this chateau has had its name changed by the current manager, Christian Moueix, from Certan Guiraud (after the family that owned it) back to its original Certan Marzelle. Whatever the nomenclature, the wine itself is impressive, if tough. It is dense, dominated by black fruits, and a solid structure. Made from 100% Merlot.
