Château de Lavernette 2016 Le Clos (Beaujolais-Leynes)

A ripe, fruity, red-cherry flavored wine, this is attractive already. It has a rich, smoky texture as well as layers of fruit and acidity. With the edge of tannin in the back, the wine could age further, although there is no real need. It's ready to drink now. Roger Voss
