Château de Montmirail 2018 Cuvée Gabriel White (Vacqueyras)

Whiffs of toast and vanilla are lifted by blossom and tangerine in this full-bodied, luscious blend of Clairette and Grenache (augmented by smaller proportions of Viognier and Grenache Blanc). Matured in new French oak, it's a soft, unctuous wine, but finishes on a fresh mineral tone. Best now–2024. Anna Lee C. Iijima
