Château de Pommard 2018 Clos Marey-Monge 75 Rangs (Pommard)

Cellar Selection

Sandalwood, rose petals and charred mesquite perfume this bottling sourced from 75 rows of vines situated in the lowest topographic position of the Clos Marey-Monge. A touch softer and richer in fruit ripeness than the producer's “Monopole” bottling, it offers plush roasted-plum and black-cherry flavors lifted by tart blackberry acidity and a chalky, salty limestone finish. Still approaching peak, the wine should drink beautifully from 2024 through 2038. Anna Lee C. Iijima
