93pointsChâteau de Saint-Cosme 2017 Saint-Joseph

Layers of dried sage, bramble and green peppercorns lend a sauvage appeal to plump, juicy black cherry and plum in this wine. It's a full bodied but graceful Syrah fringed by fine tannins. The finish is delightfully floral, etched by violet and rose-petal perfume. Lovely already, the wine should drink well through 2027. Anna Lee C. Iijima
