While the nose of this full-bodied red is restrained, the palate is opulent with ripe black cherry and plum flavors. It's plush yet balanced with delicate hints of hazelnut and spice, as well as lively acidity. The finish is long, dominated by ripe but densely structured tannins. Accessible already, it could hold through 2022. Anna Lee C. Iijima
