Château Fargueirol 2017 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Ripe blackberry perfume is peppered by clove, bramble and garrigue in this rich, brawny red. In this blend of Grenache (70%), Syrah (20%), Mourvèdre (5%) and Cinsault (5%), black cherry and cassis flavors are powerfully concentrated. Fresh stony minerality and ripe, well-integrated tannins lend freshness and softness to the finish. A powerful wine that should improve through 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
