Château Fortia 2017 Tradition Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Initial notes of scorched bramble, thyme and sage dissipate with aeration to reveal pristine blackberry and raspberry. A blend of Grenache (45%), Mourvèdre (45%) and Syrah (10%), it's a full-bodied, voluminous wine packed with ripe, luscious black fruit flavors. Crisp acidity and ripe, persistent tannins lend elegant structure. At peak now–2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
