Château Jas de Bressy 2017 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Dulcet notes of violet florals, black cherry and anise perfume this cheery blend of Grenache (80%), Syrah (15%) and Mourvèdre (5%). Sourced from vines averaging over 80 years old, it's a richly concentrated but brightly balanced sip that throbs of juicy blackberry and raspberry flavors. Fine, taut tannins stand upright on the finish. Delightful now but should maintain through 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
